Article: Morris's Home Run Lifts U.S.

This heroic, game-winning home run act has got to be getting a bit dull by now for Warren Morris.

Morris -- who won the 1996 College World Series for Louisiana State University with a ninth-inning, two-out, two-run home run -- sliced a two-out, 2-2 pitch over the left field wall for (yawn) a three-run home run in the ninth inning that lifted the U.S. Olympic baseball team to an 8-6 victory over the Japanese University all-star team.

Morris then returned to the field for the bottom of the inning (the United States was the visiting team) and assisted on two of the three outs at second base, including a nifty running grab and toss to first to end the game.
