Tell the truth. You've fantasized, maybe more than once, about
sneaking out of the bowling alley with the rental shoes. Let them
keep your Campers. There's something about the sleek, sensible lines
of those two-tone oxfords, a sort of super-geeky fabulousness, that
transcends the usual rules of fashionability. Ditto for the shirts -
boxy, unflattering garments embroidered with strangers' first names
and cheesy logos that have remained pillars of retro-chic for
decades. In recent years high-end designers such as Prada and Gucci
have sent bowling-inspired fashions down runways in Paris and Milan.
We're talking timeless style - so timeless it hasn't evolved one
