OSCAR DE LA HOYA HASN'T BEEN SUED YET BUT IF THINGS KEEP GOING THE
WAY THEY HAVE, IT WON'T BE LONG. Not because De La Hoya has done
anything wrong, but simply because he's beginning to have as much
success promoting fights as he has had fighting them.
Last Saturday, De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions staged its first
HBO Championship Boxing production in San Antonio, a card that
headlined the best featherweight in the world, Marco Antonio Barrera,
against top 122-pound challenger Manny Pacquiao. This weekend his
company will run its first HBO pay-per-view show with World Boxing
Council 122-pound titleholder Oscar Larios in against Thailand's
