Several more air travelers have come forward with reports that federal security officials conducted inspections of their checked bags by breaking open their Travel Sentry locks. The travelers contacted the Globe after reading about a Burlington woman who flew from Tampa to Boston in early December and discovered on arrival that her bag had been inspected by security officials in Tampa and her Travel Sentry lock was missing.The Travel Sentry locks, jointly developed by lock and luggage manufacturers and the Transportation Security Administration, were intended to prevent such incidents.
