The Washington Bullets needed several things to happen at
Orlando Arena Tuesday night to keep alive this mission of making the
playoffs, and got none of them. They needed Shaquille O'Neal to fire
bricks from the foul line; instead he made six of his first seven
free throws. They needed Penny Hardaway's sprained left ankle to put
him on the bench or at the very least make him ineffective; he
scored 26 points and recorded eight assists. The Bullets needed
Orlando's radar-like three-point shooting to be a little off; the
