Article: BUSHY PERFECTLY HAPPY

With a little help from her friends, Franklin's Mackenzie Bushy enjoyed a perfect day.

The senior righthander pitched her first perfect game, mowing down 21 batters in a 1-0 victory over visiting Hockomock league opponent Foxboro.

"I'm so proud of her," said Panther coach Lori Salvia.

"This is why you coach. It was all about her today, but her team helped her out a lot. Eleven balls got put into play, and they got them all."

Bushy had an indication things would go her way early in the game. With runners on first and second, Bushy attempted a sacrifice bunt. She was able to beat the throw to first as Julie Mucciarone raced home from second with the only run of the game.
