LOS ANGELES - Inside the quiet room at Muzzy Lane Software Inc.
it sounds like there's a war on.
The room is a roofless cubicle in the Los Angeles Convention
Center, and on the other side of a thin partition roars the full fury
of the E3 computer gaming trade show. It's a ceaseless barrage of
crashes, howls, and an endless thump-thump-thump from hundreds of
armoire-size subwoofers. It's hundreds of well-heeled makers of
brutal action games trying to outshriek each other in a bid for the
attention of 65,000 potential customers.
What's an educational software company from Newburyport doing in
the middle of all this? Same as everybody else: looking for a deal.
