Wayne Gretzky had a goal and an assist this afternoon, leading St. Louis to a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinal series at Joe Louis Arena. The victory puts the Blues on the brink of doing the impossible: eliminating the Red Wings Tuesday night in St. Louis.
