AUTHORS ON ADOPTIONFilis Casey , executive director and
founder of the Alliance for Children Inc., has written a book with
his adopted daughter Marisa , who is from Colombia. "Born in Our
Hearts" is an anthology of stories relating to adoption.
Featured in the book are the stories of Catherine M. Rogerson of
Duxbury, Margaret Ronan Stack of Hingham, Joy Murphy of Plymouth,
and Monica Yerxa of Walpole.
The Alliance for Children, based in Wellesley, is a nonprofit
organization established in 1974 as the first international adoption
agency in Massachusetts, Casey said. It also has offices in Rhode
Island and New York and has placed more than 5,000 children from
