Article: Rape Charge Is a Repeat For Suspect; Md. Man Convicted in '89 Of Assaulting Daughter

A man charged with raping his 16-year-old daughter at knife point last month in Waldorf was convicted of raping the same child in 1989, when she was 9 years old, according to court and parole records.

The man, now 39, resumed living with his family after serving five years in prison for the earlier attack, according to parole records.

Charles County police say the man is a suspect in the Aug. 20 rape of a 12-year-old girl, who was seized near a middle school during the afternoon, taken to a wooded path and assaulted by a man.
