Miami Beach is a hedonist's delight, with sun, surf, sand, and the
beautiful people on nonstop parade. Throw great wine and sumptuous
food into the equation and even the most hard-core New England
puritans may surrender to the sensual.
The South Beach Wine and Food Festival, to be held Feb. 25-27,
began, as many great things do, as an idea discussed informally by
friends around the kitchen table. Making the idea a reality was
easier than usual, as the table belonged to Lee Brian Schrager,
director of special events and media relations at Southern Wine and
Spirits of Florida, a leading beverage distributor.
