Mark Carlson , a BAE Systems aeronautic and mechanical engineering
fellow, received the Engineer of the Year Award from the New England
Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
The award is presented to the engineer who is recognized throughout
the industry as a technical leader, a strong contributor to the
business, and an individual with a positive impact on the community.
Carlson, who joined BAE Systems in 1981, has nine patents pending and
coauthored two patents; he also serves as a mentor for the College of
Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. He resides in Amherst,
N.H.
