CANTON - The winter that just won't quit may push the Blue Hills
Ski Area, long dogged by financial problems, to its longest season
yet.
The small slope, nestled steps from Route 138 and the closest ski
area to Boston, is thriving at a time when the snow sport season is
usually winding down.
Blue Hills is finally on good terms with the town of Canton, after
Al and Walter Endriunas, principal owners of RM Blue Hills Inc.,
worked out an agreement to solve the facility's longstanding problem
of unpaid water bills.
And this winter's frequent storms and cold temperatures have
helped to draw as many as 1,000 skiers to the slope on a typical
