Liv Tyler is ready with a preemptive strike. "I have a
pistol, you know," the ingenue warns playfully as she aims a
menacing index finger and thumb at her interviewer.
Disarming moves like this are part of what has made the
19-year-old actor the only human on this summer's movie screens
worth getting excited about. Tyler is currently starring in two art
house hits. "Stealing Beauty," Bernardo Bertolucci's luscious,
masterly film about a young American woman who travels to Tuscany
for the summer, opened in June to mostly enthusiastic reviews.
