No two children are born into the same exact family, it has been
said, and nowhere is this more true than in families with widely
spaced children. Having children six, 10, even 18 years apart can be
like having two separate families living under one roof. Often
parents find themselves struggling to bridge the generation gap that
has one child hooked on "Barney," the other on "Ace Ventura"; one
learning to walk, the other learning to drive.
Creating a sense of family unity is a challenge. So also is
