Joe-Max Moore scored two goals and Eric Wynalda added to his
U.S. all-time scoring record tonight as the U.S. men's national
soccer team defeated El Salvador, 3-1, in an exhibition before
18,661 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Moore, who plays for the New England Revolution in Major
League Soccer, moved into fourth place on the U.S. scoring list with
his 13th and 14th career goals. He put the United States ahead, 1-0,
in the third minute and clinched the match in the 88th minute with a
penalty kick.
