When Bill Manthorne captains the 33-foot Tunacious, he wears Ocean
Wave Chicago sport wraps with bright blue lenses that turn turquoise
oceans the color of tap water.
They cost a cool $180, and Manthorne, a 35-year-old weekend
fisherman with a day job in financial sales, purchased Ocean Wave
light-filtering lenses so he could spot bluefin tuna and striped bass
at any depths.
For everything else, there's Maui Jim. The brand is sizzling right
now, and Manthorne owns Maui Jim's Typhoon ($239) and the Maui Jim
Flexon Whaler with titanium frames ($319).
"I'd start to feel bad right about the $320 mark," said Manthorne,
