CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INQUIRY WIDENSMethuen police have widened their investigation of a Methuen convenience store clerk who allegedly persuaded a 17-year-old girl to pose topless in exchange for candy and cigarettes. The clerk, Amesbury resident Keith W. Toupin, 32, of 164 Whitehall Road, Building 1, Apt. 6, was arrested Oct. 6 and charged with five counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, one count of soliciting sex for a fee, and one count of posing a nude child, a felony that carries a 20-year jail sentence. A 17-year-old is considered a minor under the state's child pornography law.
