Robert Edward Ostreicher, president of B. F. Ostreicher
Advertising Agency in Boston for 25 years, was known to tickle the
ivories in piano bars on occasion.
Mr. Ostreicher died Nov. 24 of lung cancer in his home in
Westport. He was 75.
Born in Boston, Mr. Ostreicher graduated from the University of
Maine at Orono in 1953 with a degree in journalism. He served in the
US Infantry for the next 10 years.
In 1968, he took over as president of the company his father
created, and held the position until his retirement in 1993.
Mr. Ostreicher was a member of the Mizpah-Faith Masonic Lodge in
Cambridge and enjoyed carpentry, sailing, and playing the piano. He
volunteered at many area hospitals.
