NEW HOPE, Pa. - In the 1800s, canals were a common means of transporting natural resources to urban areas. Today, the 60-mile Delaware Canal in eastern Pennsylvania is the country's only remaining continuously intact canal from that era, offering a fascinating step back in American history.
