Article: Consumers Union Says Acura SLXs, Isuzu Troopers Prone to Roll Over

Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports, asked the
government yesterday to order a recall of 35,000 Isuzu Trooper and
Acura SLX sport-utility vehicles manufactured in model years 1995
through 1996, which the magazine said are prone to roll over in
sharp turns.
The organization also recommended that consumers not buy
1995-96 Trooper and 1996 SLX models, which received "not acceptable"
ratings in an article appearing in the October edition of Consumer
Reports.
Spokesmen for American Isuzu Motors Inc., which sells the
Trooper, and American Honda Motor Co. Inc., which sells the
practically identical Acura SLX, said their vehicles were safe. "The
