NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - He is carrying an RCA Autofocus camera,
prepared to record anything Super. "This is for memory purposes,"
Sammy Winder says. Yet most of the cameras today are focused
elsewhere -- on John Elway, on Steve Watson, on Karl Mecklenburg,
on Rulon Jones.
There are hundreds of lenses and notebooks and microphones on
hand at the Broncos' mass interview sessions, but only a handful
confront their top running back. This does not appear to bother him.
"Normally, you guys don't want to talk to me anyway," Winder
says softly. "I just stand by John and I get ignored. I've never
