Michael Dukakis is running for president, so let the soul-baring
begin.
In the coming months, local and national reporters will begin
the probing, picking and scratching-away at Dukakis' life and times
that has become standard operating procedure when a candidate
stands for the presidency. They'll want to see just how Dukakis has
evolved from the son of Greek immigrants to backbench state rep to
governor to presidential candidate.
Some of the local cognoscenti already have a lock on his
gubernatorial image. "If Mike Dukakis were an automobile, he'd be a
