A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 16 in Christ
Church, Cambridge, for Margareth (Arnold) Chamberlain, 102, of
Cambridge, an interior decorator and member of a city of Boston
architectural review board.
Mrs. Chamberlain died Feb. 25 in Sherrill House, Roxbury.
Born in Providence, Mrs. Chamberlain was a 1907 graduate of
Smith College, received a master's degree in English literature
from Harvard and attended Boston University School of Law for a
year.
Mrs. Chamberlain later taught grammar school in the Kentucky
mountains and was admitted into the Kentucky bar after clerking
there for a circuit judge.
Later in her life, Mrs. Chamberlain became an interior
decorator ...
