Police, school officials and some neighborhood groups in the Kenmore Square area are opposed to a proposed entertainment license change that would allow the Spinoff roller skating club to convert to a facility for Photon -- an indoor version of laser tag.

At a hearing yesterday before the commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing, several letters were read and testimony heard from residents and others who fear the Photon game will heighten the problem of unruly teen-agers and college students in Kenmore Square, where there are numerous dance clubs and bars.
