Michael H. Cardozo IV, 86, a Washington lawyer and former law
professor who had served 10 years as the founding executive director
of the Association of American Law Schools, died of chronic lung
disease Oct. 20 at his home in Washington.
Mr. Cardozo was, a former professor at Cornell University law
school and had been a visiting law professor at the law schools of
the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern, George Washington,
Georgetown, Howard and American universities.
Early in his professional career, he worked on the legal
staffs of the State Department, the Securities and Exchange
Commission and the Department of Justice.
