Mobius, the space at 354 Congress St. in Boston's Fort Point
Channel, was founded by the experimen tal Mobius Performing Group
as "a laboratory for artists experimenting at the boundaries of
their dis ciplines." Unconventional works in virtually all me dia
have been presented there, and it is a cornerstone of Boston's
claim to artistic vitality.
Beginning Wednesday, a month-long Sound Art Festival will
unfold at Mobius. It is an extension of the series of Sound Art
Events presented there in 1985 and 1986, and also an expansion,
since the 10 works to be presented are all collaborative in
nature, bringing together artists who converged on sound from
