LENOX - Unwilling to let a court-ordered trustee run their
institution's affairs, leaders of The Bible Speaks church here said
yesterday they will close the doors of their 65-acre campus-style
headquarters and move out of state.
Calling the appointment of a trustee a violation of the First
Amendment rule of separation of church and state, leaders of the
13-year-old church held their last religious service Sunday.
Yesterday they notified 150 employees, 1,200 parishioners and 950
students of their plan to fold the operation here.
All 20 pastors of the church and most of its business leaders
