WASHINGTON - The diaries that President Reagan turned over to congressional investigators contain no indication that he was informed of the diversion of Iranian money to the rebels in Nicaragua and no suggestion that the subject was broached during private meetings between the president and William J. Casey, the late CIA director, according to sources close to the probe.

At the same time, the sources said they had determined that Lt. Col. Oliver L. North met with Casey and other CIA officials dozens of times -- a number they described as highly unusual for a lower-level National Security Council aide.
