The Washington Redskins have commitments for all 60,000
general season tickets for their stadium that opens next fall in
Prince George's County, affording two tickets each for only about
4,000 of the 49,000 who have been on a waiting list for decades.
The first 4,000 or so on the waiting list will officially
receive their seat assignments in the spring. At that point, those
fans have the option of buying the tickets or turning down the
opportunity.
The team has sold nearly all of the 15,000 higher-priced,
club-level seats that circumscribe the field. It has leased more
than half of the 284 executive suites, which range in price from
$59,000 to $159,000 per year.
