Article: LENDL STAYS ON COURSE

STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vt. - Ivan Lendl was unhappy that it took him three sets to defeat Robert Seguso yesterday.

But Lendl, who advanced to today's quarterfinals of the Volvo International tournament, wasn't dissatisfied with his tennis game. It's just that the extra set meant time away from his golf game.

"I came here to play golf, it's no secret," said Lendl with a grin. "I just came here because I like it and it's very nice out here and I didn't even enter the doubles because I wanted more time to play golf. Every day I check out what time I have to play next, and my face lights up when I find out I play at 10 so I have all day to play golf."
