Linda Ezell, the newest employee of the Red Sox, moved into
her office yesterday at Fenway Park.
"It's Buddy LeRoux' old office," she said, sitting where the
former part- owner of the club once sat. "I don't think you can get
any closer to the front office than that."
Ezell, 41, was named Friday as an executive assistant and
director of personnel administration on Yawkey Way. Ezell and Mike
Silva, both black, became the first minorities -- other than Tommy
Harper -- to hold front-office positions with the Sox, and they now
rank among the few minorities to hold front-office jobs in all
baseball.
Silva, 28, previously was the club's director of group sales.
