BELMONT - When people call the town office requesting to talk to
Mr. Dana Schondelmeier, the new town administrator, they are
somewhat surprised to find out that the Mr. is a Mrs.,
Schondelmeier says. "I've surprised more than one person lately
just by answering the phone."
Schondelmeier is one of only a handful of women in New
Hampshire to hold the position of town administrator, and at the
age of 29, she jokes that because she is both young and a woman,
she has two strikes against her. But this town administrator is not
intimidated by dated cliches.
"I have skills that I'm very good at, but I can only do what I
