Marion R. (Rudnick) Kaye, 86, of Brookline, a former scholarship interviewer and interior decorator, died Thursday in Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, she attended Boston schools and was a 1922 graduate of Smith College.

From 1949 to 1955, Mrs. Kaye was an interviewer for scholarships to Smith College offered by alumni of the college. She also worked as an interior decorator for many years.

Mrs. Kaye and her late husband, Philip Kaye, were among the founders of Temple Sinai in Brookline.
