Article: DUDLEY SQUARE NEIGHBORS TRY TO SAVE ROXBURY BUILDING BRA DEMOLITION PLAN IS PLACED ON HOLD

Two Roxbury - ased developers are hoping their struggle with the Boston Redevelopment Authority has saved a four-story city-owned building near the heart of Dudley Square from the wrecker's ball.

The efforts of Carl Erickson, 31, and Allen Square, 34, have cost them hundreds of dollars and many hours from their work. They want to turn the now- empty building into a restaurant and offices, but their proposal will have to compete with others submitted to the BRA.

If the authority decides none of the proposals fit the rest of their plans for Dudley Square, or if it does not find enough community support to save the building, it may yet fall.
