The jacquerie of the liberal press and their Democratic claque
would love to have Oliver North, John Poindexter and, maybe, Robert
McFarlane indicted sometime between the Iowa caucuses and the
Democratic National Convention.
The Democrats, after all, have no choice but to run against
Ronald Reagan in 1988, just as the Republicans have to run on his
record. Nothing would serve the Democratic purpose more neatly
than to have the president's agents in the dock in a political show
trial coinciding with the campaign.
Let's face it, folks, the Democratic candidates are not
lighting prairie fires in Iowa or forest fires in New Hampshire.
The Seven Dwarfs have become the Soporific Six.
