The news from Europe is not all bad. While the dollar is down,
there are still good values.
Eurailpass, a marvelous invention of the Europeans designed
to carry visitors throughout the continent -- and in Ireland, too
-- by rail, bus and even boat is better than ever in '88. Holders
of the pass receive unlimited mileage to travel to and through any
of the 16 countries that honor the pass. Passes are good from 15
days to 3 months, and range in price from $298 to $798 a person.
New this year is a Flexipass that allows nine days of travel, to be
used consecutively or not, within 21 days. An added value is that
the Flexipass, which costs $310 for the 21-day period, was priced
last year ...
