The Celtics today play host to the woeful Golden State
Warriors in a rare 1 p.m. holiday game at Boston Garden.
Boston is playing its best basketball of the season. The
Celtics have won 14 of 16, including a 115-110 victory at Oakland
earlier this month.
The Warriors are 6-26, officially the NBA's worst team. Golden
State is a hideous 0-16 on the road. Saturday in Denver, the
Warriors shot 34 percent (35 for 103), a franchise low since the
team moved to the Bay area in 1962.
"I'm pretty miserable right now," said Golden State coach
George Karl. "But I always believe that we can win. Boston is
playing well, and it's a building I've never won in, but I think
we'll throw some tricks ...
