SAN DIEGO - Call him the Lone Amigo. Of course, if Sammy Winder
had his way this week, it would be adios amigos to this business of
sitting still for an hour each morning, letting the nation's media
poke and probe at him.
"If I didn't know I would get fined for not showing up to
these press conferences, then I probably wouldn't even show up at
these things," Winder said with a sigh Tuesday as he looked around
at the chaos of Super Bowl week unfolding around him.
Lord knows, Winder, the Denver Broncos' leading rusher for the
past five years, has a story to tell. But he's just not into
telling it.
Nothing personal, says Winder, looking at crowds three-deep
