Article: NEW ZEALAND LAUNCHES '88 CUP CHALLENGE

Like it or not, the 1988 America's Cup season is under way. Ceremonially at least, and on the water, too. The giant super-yacht, New Zealand, launched for trials last Thursday in Auckland, was officially launched today before 2,000 VIPs from throughout the world.

If nothing else, curiosity must have drawn a good many. Nothing even close to the New Zealand has ever been seen before other than on a designer's doodling pad.
