Article: CAPITOL HILL GENERALLY GIVES ENDORSEMENT TO ATTACKS ON IRAN TARGETS

WASHINGTON - In a rare demonstration of harmony over the use of American force, key members of Congress endorsed the Reagan administration's decision to bomb Iranian oil facilities in the Persian Gulf yesterday and to retaliate against Iranian naval forces.

No significant dissent from Capitol Hill accompanied news of US naval action in the gulf, distinguishing the event from most previous decisions by the administration to use military force, from Granada to Nicaragua to Lebanon.
