Egypt's ambassador to the United States said yesterday that
the assassination of Palestine Liberation Organization official
Khalil Wazir had strengthened hard-line Arab factions in the Middle
East.
"There has been some kind of shift in the mood in the Arab
world," Ambassador Sayed Reedy said, "and the shift is going toward
the hard-liners."
Reedy, in Boston in connection with the opening of the
Ramesses II exhibit at the Museum of Science, made his comments in
a meeting with editors of The Boston Globe.
The recent shooting death of Wazir, also known as Abu Jihad,
