Article: BARRESI OFF TRACK TURNKEY METHOD A KEY TO NEW FACILITY

The relentless and fervent opposition of Inspector General Joseph Barresi to the turnkey meth od of construction for the proposed state track facility is ludicrous because Barresi is creating the waste and abuse he purportedly wants to avoid.

Barresi, through his first assistant, Stephen Cotton, once again voiced opposition to the turnkey at a State House public hearing Wednesday.

One of the arguments Barresi raised was that there was no guarantee the facility could be built for the $35 million the Legislature appropriated in January.
