Article: INSULTS, INCREDULITY AMONG SCIENTISTS HOMEOPATHY FINDINGS ARE DERIDED BY JOURNAL

An investigation challenging French experiments that purport to uphold the controversial practice of homeopathic medicine has degenerated into an exchange of insults, accusations and threats in the pages of a leading scientific journal.

With all the subtlety of a street fight, the row erupted in the usually decorous British journal Nature over its report calling the French results a "delusion." The report, made public yesterday, is to be published tomorrow.

The challenged results were published by Nature earlier this summer, although with an "editorial reservation" that they were "unbelievable."
