An investigation challenging French experiments that purport
to uphold the controversial practice of homeopathic medicine has
degenerated into an exchange of insults, accusations and threats in
the pages of a leading scientific journal.
With all the subtlety of a street fight, the row erupted in
the usually decorous British journal Nature over its report calling
the French results a "delusion." The report, made public yesterday,
is to be published tomorrow.
The challenged results were published by Nature earlier this
summer, although with an "editorial reservation" that they were
"unbelievable."
