Article: NEW HAMPSHIRE JOBLESS RATE AT 2 PERCENT SEASONAL HIRING HELPS; RATE IS NATION'S LOWEST

CONCORD, N.H. - Unemployment dropped slightly in New Hampshire in June. The state's 2 percent rate is less than half the national rate and is the lowest in the nation.

The state Department of Employment Security said yesterday the rate had dropped from 2.1 percent in May, when New Hampshire again had the lowest rate in the nation.

The greatest increase in employment came in nonmanufacturing jobs, including the tourism industry, which was in full swing in June.
