Albert J. Keough of West Roxbury, a retired teacher and
guidance counselor in the Boston public schools, died Saturday at
Southwood Community Hospital in Norfolk. He was 71.
Born in Jamaica Plain, Mr. Keough lived most of his life in
Boston.
He graduated from Jamaica Plain High School, where he was a
football player. He graduated from Boston College in 1940 and
received a master's degree in education from Boston State College
in 1970.
Mr. Keough started working in the Boston public schools in
1970 as a physical education teacher. He later served as a guidance
counselor and taught social studies and English until his
retirement in 1987.
