Cultivating spring-flowering bulbs in containers outdoors is a
splendid alternative way of enjoying these beauties.
For people who live in apartments with balconies or have
small, shady patios, bulbs in pots will bring all the gaiety and
color of the spring landscape in pint-sized gardens.
They are useful too for bulb fans who already have crammed
daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses and whatever else tickles their fancy
into every square inch of bed in the yard.
And bulbs in containers have another advantage: Once they have
gone over, the fading foliage can be hidden by moving the pots and
planters, or planting annuals in their place.
