Harvard's football team has a weapon and a half going for it
and it isn't a secret. The weapon is 6 feet 2 inches, weighs 216
pounds, has hands like a blackjack dealer, feet like a tap dancer
and the power of a heavyweight boxing champion.
His name is Tony Hinz, a junior halfback from Great Falls,
Mont.
Hinz, who has a 29-inch waist, was the leading rusher in the
Ivy League a year ago with 789 yards on 139 carries. The first team
All-League selection picked up where he left off last Saturday when
he carried 13 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-7 romp
over Columbia. Hinz played only 2 1/2 quarters and still was named
the Ivy League's Offensive Player of the Week.
