For some of its concerts this season the Boston Chamber Music
Society is being joined by guests from other cities, a sweet idea on
the face of it, but not all that different in the uncertainties it
gives rise to from what ordinary folk in the real, non-musical world
often experience about house guests -- how is it that they titter so
much when left to themselves, and who is going to bring up the awful
subject of the shredded window curtains? -- that sort of thing.
