Jeff loves Tom. Tom dies of AIDS. Jeff has AIDS, too. Tom's
mother is a tower of strength during what Jeff is going through.
But Jeff's mother refuses to have anything to do with her son. Jeff
says his mom is one of those mothers who eat their young. She says
he "destroyed" the family by telling his father he was gay: A week
later his father had a fatal stroke. How Jeff's friends gang up on
Jeff's mother to persuade her to come to his 30th birthday party --
because he might not live to have his 31st -- is told in a new
movie called "Mother, Mother."
At the fade-out, mother and son embrace. She'll be around for
him when he dies. On the sound track, a man sings "Mother, Mother,
